Deadletter is a unique anti-spam plug-in for Eudora Pro or Light (minimum requirement version 3.05). It is inherently superior to other junk mail filters in that it does not rely on quickly outdated lists of spam senders. Instead it is based on a group of "rules" that defines unwanted mail by the marketing oriented content in the body of the message. Deadletter can thus allow the user to take a more pro-active control over his/her incoming mailbox by offering the enabling or disabling of the rules, as well as adding lists of spam-type text and offending senders. Deadletter uses an intuitive "list" metaphor for adding e-mail senders to the Deadletter Box or OK’ing their entrance into the Inbox. Other products use a more complex "set of rules" filter system which is in practice less effective. A Deadletter user can simply add lists of wanted or unwanted senders, or words or phrases of unwanted spam. In addition, individual senders can be permanently added to the spam or OK lists with a simply menu command. Further, Deadletter is the only Eudora plugin and filter system that identifies bulk email spams. Bonus! … Deadletter is the only Eudora plug-in which allows the user to edit messages after they’ve been received (deleting extraneous text or adding explanatory comments to messages) keeping the received mail files more concise, compact, and useable. Deadletter can also be used with the new Eudora 4.0 beta which is a free upgrade for registered users. Deadletter works well with the blue wolf network’s other email helper tools such as Em’ly Executive, the automatic text-to-speech reader plug-in for Eudora.
